Breathing/Relaxation

Practices like deep breathing, yoga, tai chi, and meditation can help calm the nervous system and reduce the stress that often makes tinnitus feel louder or more intrusive. While they don’t “cure” tinnitus, many people find these gentle mind-body techniques help create a sense of control, balance, and quiet from within.

Hearing Dogs

One of our members has a hearing dog named Noodles, who helps alert him to important sounds like the smoke detector, microwave timer, and even when his wife says his name. Noodles is also being trained to respond to sirens and emergency vehicles. Hearing dogs like Noodles provide increased safety, independence, and peace of mind for people with hearing loss. They can be wonderful companions for those who need help staying aware of their surroundings.
